High on The Hogs – Corkscrew MTB Tutorial with Simon Bosman

In this video I will be breaking down the Corkscrew feature on High On The Hogs trail located on my home turf of Sedona, AZ. This trail is rated double black diamond and is tremendously difficult for most mountain bikers. The Corkscrew feature is arguably the most challenging move on this trail and upwards of 90% of visiting riders will walk this move.
With the breakdown of some key techniques including Ready Position, Measured (feathered) Braking, Bike Body Separation and Line Choice you will find this move easier then it appears. Even if High on The Hogs is not a trail you ever plan to ride, being able to master these fundamental skills will improve your flow on the bike on beginner, intermediate and advanced trails.

Damn. I walked that the day before we met. I’m sure now I’d ride it.
